Vienna South Railway Station Hotel

Very conveniently located, mid category hotel, with no frills, reasonably priced, customer friendly staff, clean linen and rooms. Pizza Hut, KFC, McD, etc locate at walking distance. However, breakfast menu needs to be improved. Free shuttle to Airport.

This Hotel is the most missleading hotel I’ve ever been on. The staff did not understand a word english, except for one which english was very poor. In addition, the room were not washed, with even dirty blanchets. When taking a shower even creeps came up the drain. On top of it all, the room was supposed to be «smoke free», but the smell gave us another imoression. There were even ash from cigarettes all over the floor. My tip: stay away!!

On arrival, we were offered a price reduction if we paid directly to the hotel, and not through booking.com, where we made the reservation. We was told that they would avoid any fees to booking.com. This was a very unprofessional and a bit uncomfortable way to start the check-in procedure. The hotel required payment at check-in and did not accept either Visa or Mastercard. We were asked to take a taxi to withdraw money. One of the rooms we got was not cleaned. There were cigarettes on the floor and brown stains on the pillow. We asked for room cleaning and a new pillow. This was solved by pulling a new pillowcase over the pillow, with the stains still visible The rooms did not look like any of the pictures on the internet, much lower standard! The rooms were on floors where there was cardboard and plastic on the floors, semi-finished building. There were also people working in what looked like offices next to the hotel room. Only one of the staff could speak English. Even basic English should be a requirement, words like check in, check out, room service. + Shuttle buss to train station, and comfortable beds.
