Yinhaigang Hotel

I was there for Canton Fair. I stayed 5 days at this hotel. I think that it is ok. Location is ok, not so far to center. By taxi, almost pay 4-5USD. There is free bus service to fair. For breakfast, everyday u need to goto reception and inform them to get breakfast. Than they bring it to your room. Rooms are not big, maybe look small, but not too bad. There is free internet. In my opinion, price is reasonable and service is also reasonable. One year ago, i stayed Suiyun hotel. It was so so aswell, but for the next time i prefer to stay in yinghaigang hotel again. Taxi drivers not find hotel easily, so before you arrive to GZ, don't forget to get hotel phone number:)

We stayed at this hotel 2 times this trip to China. The first stay we had a "nice" room in the back of the hotel. It was good sized, clean and had a nice view of a park and some of the city. If this was the only room we stayed in I would have given it 4 to 5 stars, for a very budget hotel. The second stay was in a room facing the front of the hotel. This room was clean, but very small ( at most 18 inches on each side of double bed ) and a nice view of the side of the freeway just outside the window. If this were the only room we stayed at, I would have given it 2 stars. Now for the location. GREAT. Many bus stop nearby, including one just outside the front door. Lots of dining nearby. And shopping, if you are looking for cheep Chineese clothes, just up the street, there are many more local shops in the "doorway" in the wall across the street from the hotel, however you will need to walk to the nearest cross walk to get to this "door" ( about the same distance either way you walk ). Ok for the breakfast. Hmm, if you read the comments and know what you are getiing, it is great. If you expect a big western breakfast, you will be disappointed. What we got was 1 boiled egg, 1 carton of flavored milk, and 2 Chineese cakes or pastries and 1 piece of fruit per person. Pleanty of food to get the day started.

One of the filthiest hotels I have ever come across. Rooms smells because of backed up sewage system . Room change request did not help matters. The same smell was still in my new room. Don't even get me started about the clean up crew, they need to be trained on how to clean. All they do is empty the bins and wipe the floor with a dirty mop! To make matters worse on my last day, a roach crawled out of the sink while I was brushing.
