Zmax Hotel Guangzhou Pazhou Exhibition Center Guangzhou Tower

Close to Chigang Metro Station by 3 minutes walking. Many convenience stores nearby. In my room, there are all the must facilities such as hair dryer and adapter. And the room is also spacious. In my room could still smell smoke even choosing a non-smoking room. The rooms on road side have no soundproof, it might make guests suddenly wake up in middle of night somehow. Some staff couldn't communicate in English.

I just arrived at the PAZHOU hotel in Guangzhou. Paid my room for the 5 nights that I will be here and outside, it is 4C. When I entered the hotel, the reception ladies were all dressed in winter clothes. EVENTUALLY when I got to my room, I tried to put on the heating system to warm the room ( temperature inside the room is 8 to 9C.) The heating system is switched off and the excuse I was given was that they are trying to save electricity in Guangzhou. SO here is a warning to those travelling to Guangzhou anbd Shenzhen at this time of the year....EITHER book the room during the summer( Pazhou at RMB 1090 per night and bring your own heater. I have resorted to usine my hairdrier to warm up the room. I am all for saving electricity but why should I suffer the problem when I have duly paid my full amount i WOULD have paid if I was here in summer and the airconditioner would work. Because of this and the fact that NO ONE speaks english at the hotel, I make this one of the worst stays in Guangzhou...... The hotel management was totally dis interested in my problem and could care less. FORTUNATELY, I can add this to my facebook page, twitter and all the other sites where I can post my opinion.....I hope that the hotel ends up going bankrupt as this is a BAD experience.... Check in is extremely slow and painful as well as the fact that I needed to pay an additional $200 as a security deposit when the room was fully paid for in advance.... Dr J Neethling
