Even if you are on the highest floor facing away from the noise disturbances, they're still quite audible. There's a gorgeous park nearby (15 to 25 minutes away) where you can take a scenic stroll with friends or family. A chain of small convenience stores are less than a minute's walk away. You can buy snacks, eat breakfast, or even get a simple haircut (for 25 RMB, though the quality isn't stellar).
Room - Clean. Good wifi. Nice, hot showers. Good water pressure. Basic amenities are provided. AC unit is provided. It can alternate between hot and cold, which is arguably a rarity in the southern part of China. Although Shenzhen's weather is warm most of the time, it's still a good thing to have anyway.
Housekeeping - Excellent. If you don't want them to clean your room, politely tell them. If you want your room to be cleaned, place the "Please Clean Room" sign outside your door.
Negatives:
- Don't accept VISA or Mastercard. Must pay in cash or use a card from a local bank. WeChat is also an acceptable form of payment.
- Need room card to use elevators.
- Distance from subway station is a bit far.
