Gold Hotel

First, I really like that Hotel , it's very convenient if you need to stay in Lohu! If you need to stay in other Districts, than choose one there, because 'Shenzhen' is a bigger city ! ,positive: -Big room, clean bathroom and also spacious ! - Close to Hubei station, just 50 Meters away ! -On the other side, is a 'Hunan" Restaurant , very good food (next to 7 Day Inn), open until 4 am !!! -The only point, the carpets ! They should clean it properly or take them out and make a wood floor ! But there are 'Slippers" in the room !

Since I came over to stay only one night,the locaion is great. Gold Hotel is just outside the Metro Station Exit C of Hubei. It is so close to Dongmen Market in a walking distance of 10minutes. Shopping,massage,department stores are all in Dongmen district. A Park n Shop super store supermarket in there close at 2300. Actually,I am now writing this review from my hotel room with my own portable Pocket Wifi. Overall,this hotel is dated in many ways,a kind of 90s decoration in and out. It cost me RMB400 for a standard King size bed bedroom.

I have stayed there more than 10 times simply because the rate is reasonable and the hotel is near Luo Hu station.Easy to cross the border to Hong Kong.I think the hotel is not suitable for westerners as the staff speak limited English or not at all.The most disturbing thing is that they can knock as your door even at midnight to ask you to pay your bill in case your credit card guarantee is not enough if you have decided to extend your stay at the hotel.As in most hotels in China, you can expect to get free toothbrush,toothpaste, soap.Now no more.You have to bring your own toothpaste. The bathroom looks really outdated & needs a good refurbishment.The other complaint is that you can hear people speaking loudly in the corridor even at odd hours of the night.The good points are on the 11 floor, you have a massage centre managed by a Korean.Now no more and has been taken over by a chinese company.The service was good before.On the second floor, there is a good Cantonese restaurant serving dim sum in the morning.Quite cheap indeed.You also have Hubei MRT station at the entrance of the hotel on Shennan Dong Road.Good for Mandarin speaking guests...
