Great Wall

Had an extended stay at this hotel due to medical issue, the hotel nestle in an older residential neighbourhood in SZ so the surrounding is not the best but still convenient as it close to the subway station-200 M away with line 3 and 9 , you can pretty well go anywhere from here, To airport 3/4 hour ride cost $8 which is cheap compares to taxi cost about $150. The room and common area is older and still functioning 3-4 star only. If you want a convenient decent priced hotel in central Luowu area then this could be your choice. The only complaint is that occupants are smoking everywhere, inside the room, no matter it is supposed to be No smoking hotel. Customers are ignoring the rules even after confronted by staff. Bad bad habit without strict enforcing.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and highly attentive, especially house keeping. The room is very spacious and bright. You can even choose to have your bed hard or soft; they use mattresses which are hard on one side and softer on the other, so they can turn it to your liking. I found the room and the hotel in general to be very quiet, which is a huge bonus in China. I also really enjoyed the reasonably priced buffet breakfast which had both Chinese as well as international food items. If/when I'm in Shenzhen again, I'll certainly stay in this hotel.

Nice hotel located very close to the metro station. I stayed only one night and felt my room was nice and comfortable. I enjoyed the front desk service which is friendly and effective. The included breakfast buffet was good : fried egg station, fruits, juice, cold cuts, toast and coffee plus a selection of Chinese dishes. I was woken up in the middle of the night by a crazy male customer shouting in the corridor (which unfortunately happens a lot in Mainland hotels !). Overall, this was good value for money (472 RMB).
