Orient Sunseed

First of all the main problem is, if u are not a Chinese speaker, none could understand, help you, and give you any kind of information couse none speaks English. Then they, of course, don't have an international breakfast but just the Chinese one. My first night in this hotel was a nightmare. They didn't understood my reservation, cuz was written in English. And they didn't give me my room. I had to wait the day after, with the help of a Chinese speaker, to have my room, and the money of the first night back. I really don't suggest this hotel... or maybe, I don't suggest china to foreigners.

Positives. The hotel is very good value at 230 Yuan per night. The staff are very polite and try there best to be helpful. The rooms are relatively clean and the bed very comfortable. I did not try the restaurant so no comment. The breakfast was fine. Negatives. As a very limited Chinese speaker, I found dealing with the reception staff very difficult. Any query over my bill or service required could not be delt with by the staff. They tried to use a google translate site to talk to me. I would have to type in my question, eg I need to extend my stay for 2 weeks, can you reserve the room for me? Mad panic followed, they started asking me for more money. I asked t see the manager but not available. Eventually, I was able to book an appointment the following day to spea to him. His English is good and issues sorted. The hotel should be more accurate with their multilingual claim on their website. Saying all that, it is not the fault of the staff, they tried their best and we all left smiling. I was on 5th floor so KTV not too bad. The location is a bit isolated, but if you master the bus services then no problem. Walk to Daxin metro is about 20 mins.

A lovely hotel about 20 minutes from the airport. We stayed there whilst on a layover. The room was new with retro decor. A lovely bathroom with a huge shower head. We had a room with 2 queens sized beds which were very comfortable. There was an Internet cord in the room which allowed us to check our emails when attached to our laptop. There was a tea kettle in the room with tea bags but no milk or sugar. The housekeeper had left a key in the room, perhaps a master key to other rooms. We didn't try it in other rooms but seems a little careless. One of the front desk ladies spoke English which was very helpful.
