ShenZhen Silver Lake Resort Hotel

We spent five nights here for a conference. It's a lovely hotel with much attention to aesthetics. It's a conference center and we were the only 'westerners' throughout our stay. Only a few of the staff had a working knowledge of English. Fortunately our hosts attended to all our needs. Our room was spacious with king size plus bed. Could hear the birds in the morning along with the water from the fountain in the pond of the courtyard. Tea kettle and mini-fridge available. Meals in the hotel dining room were tasty and varied. There are also several additional restaurants in the hotel. We ate one dinner at the Mongolian one which was excellent. The hotel is located some 5 kms from town in a wooded area. There are lovely trails and parks adjacent to the hotel. I didn't see any taxis during our stay. I imagine that they are available. There is a bus station not too far away. But from my observations, everyone arrived by private cars. We observed some maintenance issues in upkeep of the facilities; had that been otherwise I would have graded this conference center resort 5*. That said, I would not hesitate to return, as long as I had someone along to help with the language.
