The hotel attracts its location - the seafront and many swimming pools. It's about an hour from Shenzhen. Keep that in mind. The hotel itself can be seen that is not new and repairs were not hindered. The rooms are big, comfortable. Keep in mind that so-do is very, very slow. From the downside - I chose Double Room Upgrade Classic with overlooking the ocean, and was wildly surprised that I would have to contribute another 3,000¥ when I checked in. For some service. It's very strange. Nowhere to book this information. - booked for 3 people. 2 adults and a son. The booking indicated age - 14 years. And nowhere does it say that hotel reservations only involve meals for two people and again you have to pay extra Moved to this hotel from Hilton also in Shenzhen. You can feel the level difference. And the mood is ruined. Not unless you want to repeat my experience.

Went there for a very hot weekend in July. Let's start with the positives: We arrived at around 2pm and although there was a queue at check-in, the staff there actually gave us a packed lemon tea which was much appreciated considered the lobby air conditioning was pretty weak (maybe due to the huge dome design). It will be even better if those drinks were fridged. The hotel is still in a very good condition. The room was big and so was the balcony, there was plenty of room to walk around and sit down (sorry no loungers) while you could still open up the drying rack. The bathroom was also huge with its twin basins, separate areas for the toilet (see below), the shower and the bathtub Despite that the hotel was a few years old already, the room was still kept at a good condition. No visible wear and tear observed. The private beach, that was just outside the infinity outdoor pool, was appreciated. You would know what I mean if you looked at the public beach at Dameisha where it was literally packed with people. The hotel gave us a cake and some decorations for bday celebrations, again it was a nice surprise. On the not so good side: The pedestrian entrance to the hotel complex was blocked, so everyone had to enter and exit through the drive way and yes, you had to share with the cars and delivery mopeds. One of the outdoor pool was closed, that means everyone was packed in the other remaining outdoor pool. While I appreciated the personal space in the private beach there was no space, no loungers on the outdoor pool. U couldn't even find a place to put your towels/robes/t-shirts before you dip into the pool. I understand this is a weekend in the summer school holidays and that's the reason the pools should be opened. The indoor pool was much better and you could actually swim without hitting anyone in the water. The room design, while modern had a fundamental flaw. So the bathroom walls are basically two glass panes so I guess you could look out to the sea while you take a hot tub. There are roller shutter curtains to give you privacy if you don't want to be seen. However, between the curtain and the door there is a gap that will let someone in the room to peep right into the toilet (which also just had a glass door inside the bathroom) So basically ppl can see you doing your business should they want to. There was no way to block this as the curtain was not wide enough. I guess the designer went for style over practicality. We tried lunch in the lobby lounge, dinner at Mankok and breakfast at Commune, food was hotel grade though obviously a la carte was better than the breakfast buffet. Overall, if you like beaches in Shenzhen I think Dameisha is an area where it offers a long stretch of fine grained sand. Staying at Intercontinental will give you access to a private beach (literally right outside the hotel) as well as a luxurious experience. Without doubt, this is (probably) the best resort you can have here. However, if you go further to Xiaomesha, the MGM will definitely be a close contender.

This is the second time we both stayed at InterContinental Shenzhen Grand Meshashi Kinky Resort - the location is superb and exclusive, private sandy beach water is small, the facilities are complete and the resort is the first choice. The suites are stylish and elegant, the balcony enjoys great sea views, the breakfast is abundant and the tour is excellent. Thank you for the warm welcome of front desk staff Cathy, and also thank you for the professional photography of Mr. Shaw, who was responsible for the tour, leaving a good memory for our marriage anniversary journey.
