Sunflower (Boutique Suite)

Our stay at The Sun Flower Hotel & Residence was simply wonderful! The room was spacious, beautifully set up, and had everything we needed. The location was also perfect — close to everything but still peaceful and comfortable. What really made our stay special, though, was the amazing staff. Every single one of them was so kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and I honestly have nothing but praise for them. This was our first time in China, and I truly hope it won’t be the last. I want to give a special thank you to the lovely lady working on the 35th floor — she was absolutely outstanding at her job and made such a positive impression on us. The Sun Flower Hotel & Residence — and China itself — completely exceeded our expectations. We’ll always remember this experience with a smile and can’t wait to come back one day.

The hotel is in a central location, just a 10 minute walk from Coco Park. It is also relatively cheap. Because my room was on one of the sides of the building the bathroom had good views. I liked the layout of the bathroom, with a big shower. There are some issues with this hotel: – The hotel has outdated materials and decoration. It needs some refurbishment. – The hotel is facing a big motorway, and there is a constant buzzing coming from car noise. The windows of the rooms are not properly soundproof and a lot of that noise gets in. I was using plugs to sleep. So it was not a real problem. But for sure the noise was noticeable at any moment. – The small fridge was so weak (even at max power) that it barely chilled drinks and food. – The listing in Booking.com has wrong pictures. It mixes pictures of the One-Bedroom Suite with some other Two-Bedroom Suite. The pictures on the listing are too well lit, and the rooms look newer in the pictures than what they actually are. – The listing of my One-Bedroom Suite claimed to come with a microwave. There was no microwave in my room. Not sure if this hotel is worth it. It’s cheap and well located. If you don’t mind the above issues, go for it. But something a bit more expensive would give a more peaceful experience.

The convenience of this hotel is fantastic. It's just walking distance from Shenzhen's Major retail shopping area etc. There was no room deposit and service was efficient, housekeeping even hung up our wet laundry while we were out!. The room was clean but appliances like the stove which was like a wok station was odd, and toothbrushes are sold separately at the front desk & toilet had minor flushing issues. Great view of the PingAn Tower from our room and the gym although small has all your necessary equipment. Would totally recommend.
