Sunon

This is a dated four-star hotel at the lively Dongmen area in Shenzhen's Luohu district. Yes, everything looks old especially the wallpaper and lobby certainly needs some refurbishment; the room is actually in much better shape. Bed and bathroom are clean and tidy. Location is unbeatable with plenty of restaurants and shopping malls within easy walking distance. Laojie station is also a major stop at the city's extensive metro system. Most importantly, price is some of the best in town. So, don't complain!

Although TripAdvisor’s review site calls it “Sunon Holiday Villa”, I booked it under “Shenzhen Sunon Hotel”. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We had also stayed here on previous visits to Shenzhen. The room had what we needed and the location is excellent: (a) with a few minutes walk to Entrance A of Laojie MTR (metro) station and (b) easy walking distance to eating areas such as Dong Men Ding Food City and shopping areas.

Renamed to Sunon Hotel..a very well-known hotel in Shenzhen. But if you use a cab/taxi, tell the driver the hotel name in Mandarin "XIN AN". Almost all drivers know this hotel. This hotel might be one of the oldest hotel in Shenzhen..but seems that they did some in-room renovation in a period of time including the amenities provided. Stayed when chinese new year, and around corona virus syndrome. Staff did a good job by measuring guests body temperature. #Room is average in size for its rate #Perfect location, in front of MRT and Dongmen Shopping Street. Lots of food and shops are all around. #Breakfast is so-so, no much choice The most negative thing is : why should there have an in-room condom for sale??! This make the hotel image becomes negative for most tourists. Think positive ~to prevent unwanted case happen for non-married couples. Think negative ~bad hotel image.
