Vienna Hotel Guowang Branch

I stayed at the hotel on a business trip. The room was very nice and the hotel staff did their best to be helpful. Although they didn't speak enough English for any question to be answered. Breakfast was quite satisfying. On the down side: The hotel is located in an industrial area so there is hardly any place to eat at, aside for the hotel restaurant, which is quite nice if you like traditional Chinese food.

Don't expect to many facilities , noisy room , week internet , terrible break fast , roaches can see on the breakfast buffet table , rooms r big , carpet smells bad , after request they change the room for without carpet . industrial area wont have much around ,nice shopping center about couple of miles. friendly staff but they have to call some body for English speaking person, in elevator people smoke feel very uncomfortable in the box.

We were in a business trip, and the company we were visiting booked this hotel for us because it is convenient to them due to its proximity to their location. Suffice to say, I regret leaving my fate to someone else convenience. In the Hotel itself there was only one receptionist that speaks a little English. The rest of the staff are polite and seem friendly but friendly is no substitute for communication. The internet is only in the lobby, or so they say, and even if you have your own SIM card, the coverage for 3G is terrible all over Shenzhen, so it would be of a little to no use. The room itself is large and the bed is wide, but the rug looked dirty and miserable, and there was no safe-box in the room. As for the location, as the reviewer below mentioned, it is in an industrial area with nothing else to do. The nearest “shopping center” is 2.5km away, and although many taxis are passing by, communicating with the drivers if you don't speak Chinese is just very hard. The nearest metro station is also 2.5 Km away to take you to downtown Shenzhen (about 25 Km away), and the walk to it is a bit of an adventure in itself, because you need to walk through a road with no pedestrian sideway in almost half of the distance. There is another metro stop a little further that is better situated in a more lively area. Bottom line, if you are an international visitor, you need to be in a hotel in Shenzhen itself, that if you value your comfort and peace of mind.
