Haoting Commercial Hotel Zhuhai

1st nite we stay on L9, (we took 7-rooms) the rooms wall paper and wall paint are peeling off. The chairs have stain marks on them. Carpet was torn and old. Shower was narrow which make it difficult for normal adult to shower. You feel like it is haunted. Bed are also hard. The breakfast was terrible with plain porridge, fried plain rice noodle, fried plain cabbage, one hard boil egg, one thin slide of potato cake ..... ....... And that about it for a four star hotel experience! 2nd nite we complained and wanted to move out but was offer to change our rooms to L13 that was renovated recently. Rooms here have the wall paper changed and carpet changed to tiles. Shower are still narrow and bed still hard. Breakfast still as bad. We check out with the promise not to return

We booked 3 standard rooms In Nov 2010. They automatically upgraded them to deluxe rooms. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is quite near to Gongbei Border, around RMB15 to RMB18 by taxi. It is also very near to New Yuanming Palace, you can get a taxi just outside the hotel. In short.....value for money!

Don't stay here, decoration looks nice from outside but actually is an old hotel which is not well maintained, the beds are very hard and uncomfortable and smelly rooms. Found out that there is no drinking water and was told by the rude to boil your own water! Breakfast has no variety and not up to a normal hotel standard, we were given paper cup for drinks.
