Jinjiang Inn Zhuhai Jida Jiuzhou Avenue

This hotel offered a good value stay compared to the nearby Macau hotels. (I went to Macau, but stayed in Zhuhai, China). The room was clean and had a nice climate control system. The bed was perhaps the best selling point about this hotel. It was nice and comfy, and has really white and clean sheets. The breakfast was not great, but it was one of the better in a hotel in China at this price level. Some issues to complain about was the very weak (almost non existent wifi in the room and the queue to the coffee machine was always so long at the morning breakfast buffet).

Over all the facility was good. Only one lady day desk clerk spoke enough English, other than her it was a bust. Over all staff was helpful. The in house restaurant for breakfast was very good quality meals, however a bit confusing at first as one is supposed to pay in advance at desk and then use your room card for the 10yuan reduction in food cost. Once this is understood no problems. I made the mistake of paying in advance for 30 days and stating my schedule may change and be shorter thinking I would get a credit issued to my credit card according the the desk help, the latter did not happen and it is not looking good on getting my credit. Trying to contact the CEO has been impossible, the email is not recognized and the telephone fax number is not accepting calls. From my experience, do not pay in advance save you donate to the hotel chain if you do not use your days there. Wifi not dependable, hotel problem, not sure. R from the U S.

The title summarises our comments for this little hotel. Though it is a little out of the way, taxis are so inexpensive that it is not a concern. For example, it is a 5 min drive and US$2.50 taxi fare to the Bar Street. Keep the hotel's phone with you as the taxi driver may have to call for direction. We asked for a non-smoking room and it was indeed smoke-free (This is often not the case in many hotels in China). All the staff we encountered were more than helpful. If you need a budget place to stay (RMB 180) that's spacious and pleasant, this is it.
