Eva Inn

The location of this hotel is nothing short of excellent, with a front onto the river, just next to the Sun and Moon Pagoda and the centre, and an excellent view from their rooftop restaurant towards Elephant Hill and the rest of the magical Guilin landscape. Bedroom furniture has been recently renovated and airconditioning works well but otherwise the hotel is old and tired, worst of which is the restaurant upstairs (which lacks airconditioning; just ceiling fans). Non smoking rooms still reeked of cigarette smoke. Staff lacks motivation but at least speaks English.

Good location to Li River, Zheng Yan Pedestrian Street, halal restaurant(10 minutes walk), Pagoda, Underground bazaar etc. Slippers are provided in the room. But as usual no whatsapp, facebook or googles in China?

Right across the street from the Sheraton. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Location is near walking street. Not the cheapest or most expensive. Breakfast buffet is typically Chinese. Great view of the Li River from the breakfast balcony.
