Zelin Xingan Hotel

I came to this hotel by mistake. I guess! When I got to Guilin airport a taxi service asked for 350 RMB to take me to the hotel. I was shocked. Thought they were ripping me off. Asked them to take me to bus station instead, and figured that I would be able to get to hotel on my own on a bus. NOT!!!! It so happens that bus station was super crowded and confusing. Decided to take a cab a make sure taxi driver used meter instead of fixed rate. Driver drove for 60 minutes before I got to the hotel. It cost me 200 RMB extra. Even though I saved 50 kuai, it was not worth the hassle. This hotel is super, super far from the airport. The location of the hotel is not good. There are very few places to eat, taxis are not easy to find, foreigners are viewed as aliens. Xing'an is a small town with not much to do. Not really sure how I ended here. Would not recommend you stay here.

walking distance to the ling canal. Very nice hotel. Staff is really trying to help foreigners, but their english is not so good. Breakfast was difficult to organize, maybe because the hotel was not busy.
