Jinhua Hotel GuangXi

We arrived late at night.They try to get the reservation no. But we paidonline. The are not even look for our name in the data. 15 mins to give us a paper to sign and wait for 10 mins for passport copying. 3 ladies work for 1 room. Finnally give me the key to the room. The room is fit in place.clean. No internet. No coffee. Breakfast just so so. The coffee machine doesnt work. I already inform the staff to come and look. The just look and walk away. Not even give me any coffee. Not really food here. Just bun and bun and oily veg. When tge check out moment comes. Take another 15 mins to do it. Now 7 girls running like checkens only 3 guests there. Another 5 mins to take deposit back. I stay here 1 night i need to pay 1200 rmb deposit. DONT even think to stay here. Stay away from this hotel.

We have stayed at the Jin Hua a number of times now - mainly because until recently my wife's niece used to work there. The hotel is conveniently placed within walking distance of the Chaoyang Road shopping district, although I suspect that it was built for use by Chinese government officials, given its proximity to the regional government building which is almost opposite in Dongge Road. The Jin Hua has a huge and most impressive lobby, with some giant wooden chairs, and an intriguing 'dragon' carving. However the rooms have seen better days. Although furnished well enough, they could do with some updating, and the carpets never look very clean - especially around the edges. However, the main attraction of this place (to the western tourist) is the price. At just over £20 (30 US dollars) a night without breakfast, or £23 (35 US dollars) with, it is fantastic value.

This place is the last place i would recommend to any person that doesn't drag their knuckles on the ground. I have traveled a lot in China and have never had a bad experience until i stayed in this place. Rude staff dirty rooms people smoking over the top of the breakfast buffet these are only some of its bad points. Had a visit from the cleaning lady at 23:30 wanting to know if i needed any sex that night. Have never been so glad to leave a hotel in my life. Nanning as a city is about 20 years behind the rest of China. I have waited almost a month since being in Nanning to write this report trying to find something good to write but it hasn't worked.
