NEW LI RIVER

Room was a good size and was clean. Charging 10 yuan for water wasn’t good as all other hotels we stayed in offered it for free. Awful breakfast, Luke warm coffee with powdered milk, cheap bread with margarine, a slice of fatty undercooked bacon and a slice of spam.

Near to the centre and comfortable but characterless. Someone had been smoking in our room and the hot water pressure was very poor. By far the best bit about this hotel is the superb view over the Karst landscape from the front bedroom windows.

Stayed here on shoestring tour with Explore....Busy hotel set on a main road just a short walk to the centre. We were on the 7th floor however the lift only goes to the 6th. Not a problem really. In fact we took the stairs most times because the lift smelt strongly of, we thought, urine. Our room was small and tired but clean.The twin beds were firm but a good size and the bedding was clean. The bathroom was a good size however there was little pressure in the shower. We had no view as a large advertising board almost covered our window. Turn right out of the hotel to the main shopping area, market, bars etc. We ate out every meal. Stayed here for 2 nights and that was enough.
