InterContinental Sanya Resort

Relaxed in this hotel from 30.04.26 to 08.05.26 family of three (mother, father, son 11 years). The hotel is a little tired, but this disadvantage is compensated by 1. the willingness of the service staff to hear all your wishes and provide good options to satisfy them 2. a compact, well-kept area that has everything you need to relax (quiet, calm, swimming pool) 3. a successful dinner format from Thursday to Sunday outdoors (you may be a little confused by the interior of a regular restaurant - simple tables and chairs with simple tablecloths and a pleasant terrace, but it is stuffy. You adapt and everything will be fine:)) 4. opportunity to meet/communicate with tourists from other countries (there were few of them, mainly from Russia, but we had great communication with the guys from Italy). Separately I would like to thank Jennie's manager, she helped us very much to get the necessary comfort in our holidays

this hotel chose for a comfortable swim all day , this bay has proved itself, even at low tide- the sea bathing room has no wave, there are no pens set aside for bathing and quite quickly the depth, the beach itself is a shell. I want to point out the positive aspects of the hotel itself : * first coastline * lived in the main building, sea view , room is spacious , beautiful lagoon view, clean linen, towels, makeup byredo, quiet * daily room service * minibar: refreshments + water * meals - takes place in an enclosed room and on the terrace breakfast : lots of Asian cuisine presented, soups , there are cheese and sausage slices, some pastries, there is yogurt, boiled eggs, eggs, fruit and various drinks + barista boyfriend - made very delicious coffee for dinner : again many Asian dishes are presented, but there are rice, noodles in different variations, steaks: fish and meat, sausages , salads , cheeses, sushi , fruit , small assortment of sweets and ice cream. If you are on half board : then for dinner included wine : white and red/dry , beer several types, tea. Personally, I didn't have a problem eating * area is small but green, clear . * there are sunbeds and lifeguards near the pool * beach through gate/beach municipal , throughout the day walk Sellers offering fruit and beer, runs Tourist Police * at the hotel: there were Russian-speaking girls at the reception and in the restaurant for my arrival. have a few observations : * beach not equipped , have to lie on a towel in the shade of palm trees or go to sunbeds near the pool * often campers quarrel where they lie , bless there are employees who clean the beach * staff in hotel / reception and restaurant / more oriented towards guests from China, hence the problem in explaining and obtaining information even with the help of an interpreter * the restaurant is dominated by a bias towards Asian cuisine with obscure dishes, for some it may be a problem * furniture in hotel lobby, rooms - wear and tear present * the hotel often hosts wedding ceremonies

As a frequent IHG guest, I chose to stay at InterContinental Sanya Resort (Xiaodonghai area) - and was very pleased. The hotel is comfortable, with a well-maintained territory, nice rooms, and solid breakfasts. We stayed on the 11th floor - the view was amazing, and the room itself was excellent. I’d especially like to highlight Azat (Kenny). He speaks Russian/English and was genuinely helpful in many situations: assisting with taxis, explaining details about the hotel, helping with laundry, and quickly resolving any issues. Thanks to him, our stay was much smoother and more comfortable. Such people is the reason that makes me and me wife truly appreciate the IHG brand. P.S. We’d be happy to return again.
