I had a weekend free during a business trip in China and went to the Three Gorges area with a Chinese colleague, who booked a night at this hotel. The hotel looks like it was built in the 1980s and not renovated since, but the restaurant napkins said "1998-2018, 20th anniversary," so maybe it's only 20 years old. My colleague said this is a state-run hotel, so if you want to experience a communist-run hotel, this is your chance. Rooms are spacious, and mine had a great view of the river. Carpets and bathroom were very worn but clean. The revolving restaurant on the top floor is not very good (worst meal I had during 10 days in China), and the windows are so dirty, we couldn't see anything during dinner. During breakfast, I could see out a little better. Wifi is good. TV stations only in Chinese. The park along the river is very nice for an early morning walk.

It is located very near the pier and Wanda shopping mall. You can either take a direct bus from the bus stop right in front or take 15 to 20min walk. It comes with breakfast but I didn't know. So I missed it and cannot review on the taste or service. Room is one of the better rooms I stayed in whole China trip. It's not expensive and the wifi is strong. It comes with fridge. Not many hotels has fridge for some reason.

This photo is misleading in this four star hotel (that is more like a three star). It is the second photo that is accurate since this hotel has many floors! We were on the 13th. floor and had a corner room that overlooked the Yanttze! Wonderful views every day of river life. A revolving restaurant on, if memory serves correctly, the 24th. floor. Good buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only drawback was that we were there in early October, and even though our room was very hot, the air conditioner had been turned off. You cannot adjust the temperature of your room and, finally, we were given a floor fan that helped. We rented a two-man bicycle cart across the street so we could ride through the beautiful gardens along the river bank. We had an enjoyable stay before we took a cruise upstream on the Yangtze.
