Jinjiang Inn Anyang Wenfeng Main Road

We hoped for clean, and this was it. Clean everything. The room had a big window, was bright, clean, and on the top floor (we asked). The staff was helpful and kind. This is a good hotel, and we would stay here again no question. You really need to have a Chinese speaker along - no English. But... you might be okay with a good dictionary. Restaurant was mediocre from our point of view, but the menu has pictures, and you can point if you can't speak Chinese. There is a small Hualian supermarket nearby, and the people were shocked to see foreigners. But once we spoke Chinese everyone was lovely. We were visiting in mid-November, and the historical sites were basically empty. This hotel is a five minute cab ride to the Tianning Si Pagoda, and it cost 10 rmb to go to the Shang Ruins (Yin Xu). Yes, this is a very convenient, clean and pleasant hotel.

Great value for money. Restaurants & supermarket within walking distance. If you haven't visited a Chinese public park at night time before, there's one nearby where you can get a feel of the locals' interesting leisure activities.
