Peony Hotel

This hotel was one of a few that we stayed at on our tour of China. Breakfast was aimed mainly at the Chinese with very poor choice of western food. Room wasn’t very clean and the carpet needed a good vacuuming. We had a massage in the room that was arranged by our guide, the girls were very good but spoke no English. It was at this point that we saw something (flea like) jumping in the carpet. Housekeeping definitely needs improving. But on the whole the hotel looked like it was once very luxurious but in need of updating now. The toilets in reception were also very dirty with no toilet paper anywhere. Although toilet paper seems to be greatly protected in China, as I had to carry plenty of my own in my bag everywhere.

This hotel didn’t suit our purposes in that it was isolated and appeared to be in what was an industrial area. VERY basic room that was not particularly nice. Breakfast was hit and miss - seemed to run out of basics such and tea/coffee and breads. Staff made minimal efforts with tourists.

very good hotel with all touch switches and good and comfortable rooms. rooms are clean. breakfast is very good with good options. helpful staff. location is good. you will enjoy your stay here. nice clean bathrooms.
