Holiday Inn Zhengzhou

If you booked this hotel, you have to check in at Crown Plaza hotel (I didnt know this before I check in though). The hotel building seemed to be very old and need lots of renovation. The room is very cold even we already set the highest temperature. Breakfast is served at Crown Plaza hotel which is good though. The hotel is located not near to any metro or train station in a walking distance. There is nothing to do around hotel. The nearest shopping mall is about 10 minutes walk. Furthermore, I was offered to take very pricey hotel van about ten time when I asked the hotel to call for taxi to any places! The city of Zhengzhou is definitely not tourist destination.

Was there from 2 to 4 June 2019. Came back on the second day after leaving for business and noticed that my luggage was opened and closed back. On checking out the next day, asked a chambermaid I saw outside my room about what I noticed and she denied it. I told her my luggage has a certain position I closed that whoever opened it I’m aware and she kept quiet. Luckily nothing of value I left inside my luggage when going out.

I booked this hotel last minute and I’m glad to say that I don’t regret it. I arrived at a late hour go zhengzhou train station but hotel was able to arrange pick up for me since this was my very first time. Purpose of the trip was to visit Shaolin Temple next day. Overall the hotel is good, beautiful decorations although I arrived they ghe Crown Plaza lobby. Room was ok, I was upgraded to a suite due to my platinum status and that was without asking for it unlike Holiday inn’s in the US that they don’t offer it unless you ask.
