Jinjiang Inn Zhengzhou Hanghai Road

We stayed here three nights as a base for visits to Luoyang and Shaolin. Price was 200 rmb per room plus18 rmb for breakfast. Discounts may be possible if you have some kind of affiliation with a Chinese institution . Rooms were very clean! Bathrooms were modern with a good shower. The breakfast is mostly Chinese but quite tasty and there is a coffee machine with decent (but sweet) coffee. The staff doesn't speak much of any English but we seemed to exchange ideas fairly easily. There is a bus station across the street where you can get a bus nearly to Shaolin. We took two busses and eventually a cab but got there! The hotel is a 10-15 rmb cab ride for the rail station. Wait in the official queue to get a metered cab. On the street there are the usual cab-hawkers wanting 50 rmb for the same ride. There was FREE wired as well as wireless Internet access in the room, lobby, and breakfast area. (Why can't the pricey hotels do the same?) So, for the price, this place can be recommended as a basic, clean accommodation.
