Jinjiang Inn Changsha Dongfeng Rd.

I stay at Jinjiang Inns (JI) often but this one has a superior breakfast. Plenty of choices and the coffee machine worked for fresh brewed coffee. Everything worked in the bathroom with no fuss, leaks or design faults. The air-con was very efficient on a 37 degree day. The wi-fi was good. My room also had a 2-seater lounge. The location is great near Martyrs Park and close to the Hunan Provincial Museum, About 1.5 km to the nearest Metro station however. As usual a Chinese style hard bed which I am well-adjusted for but the linen and towels were pretty new unlike some other JI that are fraying at the edges. All good and thoroughly recommend for a well-priced mid-range hotel. There are some good restaurants near the entrance to the park and a convenience store pretty close. This JI sells drinks and even beer.

Okay, I'll have to admit that most of the great memories that I associate with the Jinjian Inn across the street from Martyr's Park are a result of everything else I was doing at the time, but the Jinjiang Inn was my first "home" in Changsha before getting to my teaching assignment—and what a great place it was to call home. For the ten days I was there, I got to explore the surrounds. While not too close to the main commercial areas, there was enough on Furong Road and around Martyr's Park to keep me entertained during my free time. The staff was very accommodating and the rooms, while basic, were clean and comfortable.

Great Staff, Great Service, Great Room. This hotel is one of the reasons I enjoyed Changsha. It's clean and tidy with everything you expect a hotel to have. It is very very close to the Martyr's Park and also is close to the river. Nice location too. I recommend this Hotel for Changsha visitors.
