Holiday Inn Hohhot

This was my first visit to Hohhot. I chose Holiday Inn Hohhot as I was looking for a city area hotel easily accessible to tourist sites. I had a very good experience. Here is why: 1. The hotel location is excellent. It is near to tourist sites like the Dazhao Temple, Inner Mongolia Museum and Five Pagoda Temple (15 mins to 20 mins taxi away). There are also sites to visit within walkable distance. There is a Qincheng Park opposite the hotel, and 10 mins walk to a mall with H&M and Sephora. 2. The hotel is responsive to emails. I emailed them months earlier for a hotel tour service to visit the grassland. The staff was quick to reply and they confirmed the arrangements the moment I checked into the hotel. 3. Service is excellent. The front desk is highly approachable and friendly. It is comparable to the service you get in a. 5 star hotel. Special commendation also goes to the staff located next to lift (wearing a suit and standing at the counter next to the lift). He greeted me every time I walk past and that brightens my day. He also went an extra mile and helped me load the luggage to the taxi without me prompting on the last day when I checked out). This is another example of a 5 star service. 4. The room is well equipped and reliable. The rooms looks a bit aged but I don't mind as everything works. The hot shower water heats up quickly after switching on. The bath gels from UK also feels upscale like 4 star hotels. There are also international channels like Discovery and CNN. Chambermaids were also friendly, always greeting me when I walked past them. The only con in the room is the WiFi speed that can be faster. Laundry service is also cheaper than many international hotels. 5. The gym is a pleasant surprise. It is small but have every equipment you need, with free weights and machine. It is well equipped. There is also free mineral water. 6. Breakfast buffet and Dinner a la carte is affordable and a few pleasant surprises. For breakfast I love the banana roll, milk roll, the fruit balls and the rich coffee. There is also a good selection of Mongolia food to try which I like them too. The cod fish for dinner is also my favourite (big serving at affordable price). The western food could be improved in terms of freshness but western food is not a strength in local hotels too. The breakfast area feels a but tired and some of the seats sink in too deep after sitting on them. But the good quality and affordability of the food more than make up for the seats. Overall, I will strongly recommend the hotel for its good service and location. Loved to be back when travelling normalcy resumes.

The room facilities are extremely old. Hotel treatment to yue Spire elite member stingy. No executive benefits. Even if you are promoted to the executive room, there is no executive benefits. The hardware of the hotel is not good, and the soft service to the members is not very kind.

Hotel located in a very convenient area,with anything one might need within reach. Rooms are very big and clean. A bit run down bathroom but clean. Very comfortable. Breakfast was very good,offering all food choices. Wifi is weak but all in all i find this hotel a good choice to stay
