GreenTree Inn Huaian Chuzhou Road

I chose this hotel because it was the closest I could get to see the sights I wanted to see mainly Zhou En Lai's Former Residence, Zhou En Lai Memorial Park, and Wu Cheng En's Residence. They also had a nice computer and a flat screen T.V. But those were the only things that this hotel had going for it. One thing I did notice is that while the bathroom was nicely decorated with an opaque glass wall, the door to the bathroom was completely see-through. No privacy. I spent a total of three nights. The first night I had to breathe in nicotine from across the room. My neighbors were obviously Chinese men who liked to smoke while in bed. There's also a restaurant on the 2nd floor but the scent of nicotine was just overbearing. There is an anti-smoking law but it only applies to public buildings and buses, NOT places of entertainment like hotels and restaurants. My second night I had to put up with noisy neighbors. Several times I shouted "QUIET" in Chinese. They never did get the message. I finally shouted "SHUT UP" in English. They finally quieted down. The third night I FINALLY got some sleep.
