Fangyuan Jinling Plaza

I stayed in the hotel for one night. The rooms are very small and mine smelled very badly of stale tobacco smoke. The hotel advertises swimming pool sauna and spa on its webpage, which is a scam. They do not exist. Reception does not speak English. Breakfast and dinner were very limited, with smoke everywhere. Best to give this one a miss.

This place looks impressive when you walk in, but the cracks start to show very quickly. The lobby and rooms are dated and in need of some tlc. Carpets are dirty, curtains torn, tbe list goes on. The aircon didn't work in the 3 rooms our group had, and a request to fix it was ignored. The rooms were hot and stuffy as a result - it was a relief to leave tbem for the smoke scented lift lobby on our floor. The beds were very hard. Both showers in 1 room were broken.

As a tourist in a foreign country, I don’t expect the choice to be as good as my own country. However this is first time I am unable to obtain an omelette, even though all ingredients were available (eggs, onions, salt, pepper). Chef refused to make omelette only fried eggs. The choice of fruit was Tomatoes only (unless you include Strawberry Jam) I am a coffee drinker but was unable to drink the coffee. It was very strong. I asked for hot water that I could add but was told this is not available? I returned to my room to have Nescafé! For a hotel of this stature it needs to improve. Room was very comfortable
