There is some construction nearby so you can hear the drilling from outside...at 7:20am on Saturday morning.. They did move us to room away from the drilling so they were accommodating that way. The first room wasn't that clean, some stains on the sheets. Second room was cleaner but still not great. The washroom was ok in both, although there was a little black mold in the shower of the first one. The window to room looks out into the hallway. All that said, Fine for a night or two. The location is ok, close to the subway and beside the construction and KTV, there isn't much noise or traffic. Was relatively affordable but I probably won't book with them again.

This place was just functional. The room was not filthy but not lovely either - quite spartan. Shower worked ok (no curtain though) and didn't stink too badly. The towels looked 100 years old and were basically rags. But our main complaint was with the lack of air conditioning. They have central cooling (no temperature adjustments, just a fan with low, medium and high settings) but no heating at all. For us, in early Autumn, this meant it was a bit cold - and there is no carpet either, so doubly so. We asked them why Agoda claimed there was air-conditioning and there was no good answer. False advertising in its least pleasant form. We asked for an extra doona to keep warm at night but I was still cold, although my husband said he was ok. We found the location a bit hard to manage - taxis can't stop right out front, so you have to walk a bit. This also means it is hard to find if the driver doesn't know the place. There is nothing much around the hotel at all, although technically it is quite central. It took us nearly an hour to get a taxi on the rainy day we were there, meaning we lost a big chunk of our day just trying to get out of the place. Much better to pay an extra $15 a night and stay at the Eastern Pearl, which is what we did the next night and really enjoyed it. If you can't afford that though, this place is not revolting and is very cheap. Internet worked ok.
