Ramada Plaza Nanjing

Like another guest, I used their online booking as it seemed cheaper than an online travel agency. However, after they confirmed it, they raised the price 60 yuan a night. As I also ordered breakfast (since their original price was cheaper), this meant I was paying an extra 100 a night, than I originally intended. However, they hardly apologized for their out of date website and when I asked what the deposit would be, was flatly told by whoever answered the email, that they had no idea and to ask the front desk itself. Check in was also done by a person with a very sour expression and limited English, although one staff member had slightly better English and could answer questions. The facilities of the hotel are good, as they seem to have been built to international standards, but can a 5 star hotel really have no satellite TV or any channels in English? As I booked a business room, I would have liked a few extras like they sometimes put in the desk drawers (scissors / pencil) and I really needed a sewing kit, which could not be found. Also, the light above the tea / coffee area seemed to need a new globe. As for breakfast, the Chinese food on the first day tasted more like flavourless hospital food, so the next day I tried to eat the Western food (cakes and bread) which were hard and probably pre-frozen. Food quality was hit and miss. I may stay again if travelling to Nanjing in future.

It's very price worthy! Nice view of Xuanwu Lake and the city in rooms; location is good. The room is very good and modern, comparing with Westin, but the price is only half. Good choice if you travel in the city or have business here. Service is also good

My company had booked the room on behalf of me and I got the confirmation one day before I arrive. When I am checking in, the front desk was showed me my room price which is included the breakfast. Some how they changing the room rate with out info me. I had accepted the rate. Somehow there is another issue on the billing... Gave me twice empty promised! Terrible! I had made a complaint to Ramada HQ. Waiting for feedback.
