Loudong Hotel Taicang

While Taicang ias considered a small city and it's unlikely that someone will come here for holiday, just in case you have business in Taicang, this hotel is perfect. Located away from the street, with a nice park a few meters away, it's quiet and peaceful. As mentioned by Baneshequa, the rooms and hallways are spacious, there are big bathrooms and you can have a few quiet days here, undisturbed. Internet connection is decent, although I was disappointed by the google.hk, which kept trying to hide everything. The windows are double glass, so the temperature inside was comfortable even without AC, despite the heat outside. Helpful staff, even if most of them do not speak English, they try to help you. Food was very good, a wide choice for breakfast, while I had other meals in the city. It was disappointing to hear there is no swimming pool and no gym, given the wide space they have, it's a pity.

We stayed a couple of nights in this hotel while my husband squeezed in a bit of business during our recent vacation. The hotel is very luxurious. There are wide hallways, high-ceilings, and very modern bathrooms and mini kitchenette. The breakfast buffet is very good with lots of choices including a self-serve cappuccino table. There was no gym facilities and that's the only issue I had with this lovely hotel. Smoking is permitted in communal areas of the hotel and this is common elsewhere as well, likely they do not have smoke-free laws (yet! hopefully soon though).
