I stayed at this hotel because it was the only one in Luzhi town and it turned out quite okay. The staff are very nice and helpful although they speak minimal english. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was decent with more Chinese options than international. I had local dishes for dinner at the restaurant which were pretty tasty and not expensive. If you want to pay cash, then make sure you give a cash deposit because if not it's very hard to explain that even if you gave the credit card for deposit, you still want to pay cash.

This is marked as average because the location is very far from city center. You will not find shopping mall near by. No money exchange facility there. Morning breakfast is OK. Room is OK. Not good for staying. I will not go further.

As hotels go in Suzhou, this is the best of a bad bunch. I’ve been coming here for a few years and nothing ever improves so you just get used to it. The rooms are still stifling hot (as is the entire 5th floor). Trying to get a beer is a true test of ones patience. The internet is quite poor and frequently goes off. I gather that they have a high turnover of staff and this causes issues with improving the standard...but as their competition is almost non existent they probably have no motivation to improve. Good points: You are walking distance from the restaurant strip, and the hotel restaurant is quite good. I live in hope of these guys improving.
