Scholars Hotel Suzhou Pingjiang Fu

An address at the top!!!! Excellent bedding - very spacious room - excellent breakfast - and location: perfect for walking around the city -

A beautiful hotel, perfectly located in the center of old town, exquisite decoration, outside and inside bith refined atmosphere, excellent and very helpful staff. All this makes the few noticeable deficiencies all the more regrettable. Rooms are big but surprinsingly provide no drawers to store personal items su h as underwears, folded shirts, pull overs... Further, the bathroom has no door which is a little bit awkard even among ciuples ( shower and tub are in a separate cabinet thiugh, same for water closet) Finally, it wiuld have been useful to provide a guide for services in the room including how to make full use of a very modern tv set

The hotel is very conveniently located with plenty of amenities within walking distance. Our room 3118 had some drain smells and a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The room was large, comfortable and situated in the new part of the hotel. Apparently the rooms in the original building are much smaller. The room had a digital safe in the walk in closet which also contained dressing gowns and slippers. The bed was comfortable and not too hard. Their was a cloakroom toilet and sink on one side of the room while on the other side we had a sink, bath and walk in powerful rainfall shower with a handheld attachment. There was also complimentary toiletries and tea/ coffee making facilities. Breakfast good with large choice of items although it did get very busy. I enjoyed my stay and found the staff to be very pleasant.
