YU SHAN JIN JIANG HOTEL

This is not a western hotel, but if you can get past the somewhat dingy exterior and the carpets that need steam-cleaning, everything else is very clean and well done. The beds and linens are super comfortable and new, the in-room amenities are abundant, and the wifi is very good with the in-room router they provided without being asked. All the staff is eager to be of service, although the buffet staff leaves you alone. The breakfast buffet is abundant and tasty, with plenty of western options. The location is good, nice to have the option of hiking Yushan or the City Wall for a good workout, and easy walking to shops. I stayed here to visit my student at United World College -- stayed at the Crowne Plaza previously and would highly recommend this hotel over the Crowne Plaza.

I stayed here for one week to attend a conference nearby. It was comfortable and very clean, and great location across the road from a beautiful big park that I enjoyed exploring. The staff were very helpful and nice. Breakfast every day had a large selection and a decent coffee machine too.

This is the second time I visited Changshu. I enjoyed this hotel during my first visit so my friend and I booked this hotel again, but this time I was travelling with my wife. I always find JinJiang main stream Hotel very comfortable and nice. This is no exception. Very well finished with very good bed, it was a great place to come home to after a day of visit and meetings with friends. Perhaps the only shortcoming is that the hotel is not filled, our guess is maybe 50% or less? Breakfast that was included is quite the same everyday the 5 days I was there. But overall my wife and I had a very enjoyable stay here. The hotel is located right next to the beautiful Yushan (Yu mountain). We took a short walk of more than an hour up and did not ventured beyond a quarter way. Timing was great as the mountain was filled with sakura, and all kind of spring flowers. Within walking distances there are many good restaurants and café, also pubs though we were told that centre of city had moved to the North side. But the Yushan alone would be a great place to visit for at least a day.
