Double Dove Peace International Hotel

The hotel is located in a small town with now Western standards. You will see this also in the hotel. The staff is local and has not been to often with Western people. The break-fast is typically Chinese.

I am Chinese American. This is an OK hotel with big and clean rooms; bed was soft so overall a good-night's sleep. Problem was at checkin: since I look Chinese, nobody came to greet me when I got off taix, no one offered to take my luggage up. In talking with my white Canadian supplier who stayed at the same hotel, he got completely different treatment... Never here.

This was not a good business trip, but it was good to get back to the comfort of this hotel every evening. I did not use the restaurant in the evenings, as there are many good restaurants in the locality. The breakfasts were excellent, with a vast assortment to satisfy most tastes. The staff were very welcoming, and sometimes tried too hard to please. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit hard for me, but that is my taste. The room was very spacious and exceptionally clean, as was also the bathroom
