Green Tree Inn Wuxi Chong'an Temple Sanyang Square Metro Station

I stayed in this hotel for 2 months and was quite happy with the experience. Pro's - Polite helpful staff, receptionists know a little English, location is excellent just walking distance from downtown Zhong An Xi and next to a beautiful canal, breakfast buffet is nice given a budget hotel, cheap, online reservation is convenient, clean rooms, free internet Con's - At certain times when a lot of people are staying in the hotel there is no hot water in the morning and breakfast tends to get overwhelmed (not good if you regularly leave for office early in the day), staff other than the receptionist do not understand any english, laundry service is slightly expensive, tv has no english channels :( A lot of travelers in China must have experienced pimps trying to contact them. This hotel didn't have any - so no late night calls on the room phone, no sliding of masseur cards through the doors - good thing if you plan to stay away from such things

This motel provided excellent value accommodation. I paid less than $Aust40 per night. Very good location, 3-4 minute walk to the center of down town and a 20-25 minute walk from the Wuxi Railway station. Rooms are not huge but are very clean and neat. Girl on reception spoke good English and was very helpful. Also has a 15 RMB self serve breakfast which represents very good value. Nice and quiet and easy to find, highly recommended for the budget conscious traveler. There is also a Green Tree Inn located at the Wuxi Railway station for the same price
