WARNING: Serious safety hazard in public corridors.
I stayed at Millennium Wuxi on April 4, 2026 (Room 331). While walking normally through a corridor to the podium building, my left middle finger was deeply cut by an exposed stainless steel metal trim strip between decorative wall panels. The metal edge was razor-sharp with absolutely no safety treatment — no chamfering, no edge protection, no warning signs.
I was rushed to hospital where I was diagnosed with a 4.2cm laceration, ruptured ulnar digital artery, and ruptured ulnar digital nerve. Emergency surgery that same night included vascular anastomosis, nerve anastomosis, and joint capsule repair. My finger is now in a cast. Recovery will take 3-6 months, and doctors cannot guarantee full nerve function recovery.
The most telling detail: the hotel barricaded the area for repairs THE NEXT DAY — clearly acknowledging the hazard existed. Yet they refuse to pay a single yuan in compensation.
Over the past week I have been passed between the Duty Manager, guest services, and Legal Department. Each person deflects to the next. No apology, no compensation, no notification to other guests about the danger.
I also attempted to resolve this through three Chinese government agencies — all declined to handle it.
I am now pursuing legal action.
If you stay here, please be extremely careful around corridor walls, especially metal trim strips between decorative panels. What looks like normal wall decoration can be sharp enough to sever arteries and nerves.

The 5-Star hotel come with a large and peaceful garden. It's less than a 30-minute drive from the international airport and railway station, and the metro station is just a 5-minute walk away. In addition to the well-maintained Zen garden, amenities include a mini Japanese convenience store and a lovely Japanese restaurant.
However, the hotel requires further upgrades to its interior and amenities to be perfect for long-term stays. a proper POP Station at the entrance of this luxuray hotel would be ideal.

I stayed for more than a month. The breakfast menu hardly ever change. I used to stay here frequently for work trips in the last 5 years. Finally I decided to pull out in the midst a month + and shifted to Double Tree nearby.
