Conrad Dalian (Deluxe King)

Note: This hotel sells rooms on trip.com for 800 CNY with a 1 day cancellation policy while they charge ~1400 CNY with 14 day cancellation on the official Hilton website. I usually have no complaints if OTAs are 10 - 20% cheaper but this is simply unacceptable. Check-in staff: 1/5 Particularly unfriendly and dismissive Exec lounge staff: 2/5 Out of the 4+ staff members here, only 1 was helpful. Others were cold, rude, and ignored half of the guests. Not really sure why Room: 3/5 There is a weird smell in the room and the AC is weak Location: 2/5 Good sea view in the business district. Far from everything else Price Discrimination against Hilton Members: -5/5 I think I wasn’t the right type of guest for this hotel. Not recommended

The hotel's overall service is subpar. A few examples: - When I arrived at 5:30pm, the room was not ready. - I needed service at around 11pm, both front desk routed my call to concierge for delivering supply to room but concierge was not there for 30 min. When I requested front desk to provide the service, the front desk refused. - When I inquired about the bill at checkout time, the front desk lady was very impatient and rude when I asked basic questions of when to expect deposit refund.

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I have stayed in many Hilton hotels around the world, but my last stay at Conrad Dalian was especially memorable. Upgraded to executive corner room as soon as you enter the room. The view from the two large windows is simply stunning. I can see Dalian Port, the wharf, and the city skyline during the day and night. It's so beautiful, I can't get tired of watching it. The room was spacious and the bathtub overlooking the harbour made my stay very special. The location of the hotel is also excellent, close to Donggang and surrounding attractions. It was a great place to explore the area and the Executive Lounge was my favorite spot during my stay; It offers a great view, a relaxed setting and a wide variety of drinks and snacks. The breakfast was also impeccable, a combination of Chinese and Western, and every dish was delicious; Every time I eat very full and satisfied. A special mention is Genji Japanese Cuisine. Exquisite dishes and courteous, professional staff made my stay very enjoyable from start to finish, but what really sets Conrad Dalian apart is staff Maggie. Although she is on vacation, everything is done through WeChat. She was always kind and professional. Linda welcomed me warmly at check-in and we met at the Executive Lounge on departure; Your hospitality makes me feel truly valued. I would also like to thank the concierge team and all the staff I met during my stay. Everyone was nice and granted every wish with a smile. They also helped me pick up my packages, which greatly relieved the stress of my trip. From the elegant lobby and excellent facilities to impeccable service in every way, Conrad Dalian exceeded my expectations in every way. A big thank you to Maggie, Linda, the staff at Genji Japanese, the concierge and all the Conrad staff for making a memorable time. I want to stay here next time I come to Dalian. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxury and hospitality experience.
