Dalian Bohai Pearl Hotel

First the pros: location is just super railway station, subway, buses , shopping mall, grocery stores and cafes/restaurants!!! On foot close to : Russian Street, Zhongshan Square, Labor Park and several other locations. Issuance of consumables daily : water, slippers, soap-and-sink, towel replacement , garbage removal. There is a kettle, very old. There's a fridge the smallest. Living floors 11 to 29 so don't worry about the noise from the street, lived on 20th , had a great night's sleep. Breakfast in the cafe on the last 30th floor, views of the whole city and the port. 6 big elevators, fast enough. There is air conditioning, ceiling, quite coped and kept quiet. Now for "not very" : surely a 4* hasn't been pulled in a long time....a three with a stretch. The hotel is old, the interior a la zero, doroho-bojato everywhere lies carpet, which is very unhygienic in a hotel with Chinese traffic. Something is being tried to refresh the rooms and it looks like they're being painted straight out of canisters, so these improvements end up looking very "Chinese." In the bathroom everything works, but taking a shower is an attraction: in order to run warm water you have to open the tap to the maximum at the same time the bath quickly fills with water, because it leaks at the minimum speed. The beds are very comfortable, but in 10 days the bed has not been changed once. Tea/coffee in the room, forget it's not there. There's no device to dry things out, adapted as best they could. Separately about breakfasts: the menu is the same daily, only the type of stewed vegetables (spinach or cauliflower) meat dish (chicken or pork fry ), sausage or sausages changes. The rest is the daily standard: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, fries, toast, sweets, fruit, fresh vegetables, fried rice with vegetables, fried noodles with vegetables, corn and their chowders. We weren't hungry: rice or noodles, boiled egg or scrambled eggs, stewed vegetables, sausage/sausage, tea/coffee with sweets or jam toast. Conclusion: If you are not here to sit in a hotel, but to explore the city then the hotel is no better. And stardom in China is a very relative phenomenon. In the end, I recommend it, but as a 3*

The advantages of this hotel: beautiful view, location, near the railway station and market, many shops, places to eat, water was left every day, toiletries: soap, toothpaste and brush, gel and shampoo, comb and bath cap. We spent 4 days in this hotel: from 07/23/23 to 07/27/23. Pros: comfortable beds, clean bed linen, clean towels (changed every day), bathrobes, trash taken out every day, missing consumables reported, water provided. Nice view from the window. Comfortable bathroom. The hotel has an excellent location: beautiful places nearby, there is a 24-hour store, a cafe (open until 22:00 every day). There is a train station nearby, which is where we left for home. Cons: room (we lived on the 21st floor) old, dark, dirty carpet on the floor, clouds of dust under the beds and behind the bedside tables, dirt. Cleaning is superficial. Wi-Fi works terribly, if text messages go away somehow, then photos don’t go away after a day or at all, voice messages don’t go away at all. Breakfast is included in the room rate, from 6.30 to 9.00. unfortunately, he was not admired.
