Kempinski Dalian

We spent week as a family at Kempinski Dalian. Unfortunately, our stay did not quite meet our expectations for a hotel of this category. The hotel looks old overall, which is noticeable both in the furnishings and in some processes. On our arrival we were unfortunately not greeted, and no assistance with luggage was provided either. Somewhat strange was also the rugged reference to our three-year-old daughter when she briefly stopped at the revolving door and thereby unintentionally blocked it. Our family room was spacious but clearly worn out. There were a few cuddly toys a swing-slide combination (for up to 5-year-olds OK) and a small tent with which the children could play. Unfortunately, the sliding door to the bathroom constantly jammed and jumped out of the guide, the glass door to the toilet was completely missing. Also, the equipment was not quite sufficient for four people – there were only three bathrobes, bath slippers and large towels available. The lighting control was a bit outdated and could only be operated from one side of the bed. We would like to emphasize the breakfast – the selection and quality were very good. However, we found the type of space allocation to be a bit impersonal, as you were already asked loudly for the room number several meters before the reception counter. The restaurant Dragon Palace was highly recommended! There you can enjoy good food at moderate prices. Unfortunately, the SPA area did not make a well-kept impression. There were missing hooks, some shower taps were loose or broken, and there were no loungers to relax after going to the sauna. Overall, we see potential at Kempinski Dalian, but modernization and a greater focus on service quality would be desirable to meet the demands of a five-star hotel.

Good and friendly staff. Specially inrestuarant. Good place to stay . Every thing is complete in the rooms but: Black tea is just one per day Aircondition system is not controleed per room. In Breakfast no kind of cheese are served. The restuarant is chinese based. Very bad smell of dust in each floor coridor And smell of fish around restarant But as a conclusion this hotel gets positive on my point of view.

The hotel is in the city center, very convenient location, hotel lobby Manager Liu is very kind to help us arrange the rooms we like to make our trip easy and pleasant, will come back again.
