Xi An

I had 4 days' stay there for business purpose. This hotel is quite far from everywhere....shopping mall, restaurant or supermarket, whatever you can think of. I had a suit room with double rest rooms, the one inside the bedroom got no towel, tooth brush etc at all you had to find everything from the other one, how could that happen....There is sth even worse that is the elevator, the hotel got 22 floor as I know, only got only two elevators, you had to wait for at least 3 minutes for your turn.....anyway this is not a ideal hotel to recommend ....

This hotel is very comfortable and well run, with a good buffet breakfast and restaurant that is a good introduction to China for the timid. The air seems to be filtered which was welcome during a smog event. There is very little around the hotel and it is quite distant from the historic centre of Xi'an by public transport. The WiFi was sufficiently fast for work with the usual problems of internet connections in China. The desk staff didn't really speak English but generally tried to help with phone apps if they could.

There are certainly many worse domestic 4-star hotels and this one is not bad, but it lacks charm and charisma. The rooms are modern and comfortable. No obvious problems with dirt. However, the hotel has no discernible facilities - a gym and beauty salon are listed, but both were closed at 9pm when I visited. Smoking is rather common in public areas. Internet speed is OK though I could not connect to a VPN.
