Aloft Haiyang

After we got into the room, we found the room was so stinky and the bath room floor dirty and sticky because the toilet was overflown! We called the reception to request changing room and she gave a lot of excuses, unwilling to do so. We escalated to the manager. He didn't want to change room for us either, citing double room not available. We then asked him to change us into a single room with a rollaway bed and he agreed then we found the room had no rollaway bed! I went back to the lobby again and threatened I would call Aloft overseas to complain, and he finally told us he could give us a double room with ocean view as an "upgrade". All along they had been saying no double room available for change!

Gem of a hotel in a throw back China city. Rooms are comfortable. The location is on the beach of the China sea. Food is very good in the restaurant. It is a bit isolated if you want to go into the city.
