Eastern Light International

Located in QDO CBD, traffic is busy. Stayed at high floor n frequently hearing cars honking. No convenience store nearby, 15 mins walk to nearest mall - Wanda Plaza. Room is huge but aged. Request non smoking room yet there is a hinge of smell somehow. Good service from the hotel crews which make the stay very pleasant!

This hotel comes at a really good price, but it's run down. While it is clean, and breakfast is good, it's not foreigner-friendly (at least for non-Japanese). Staff, while friendly, may or may not speak English, and the restaurant doesn't have English menus.

colleague booked the hotel for me because it is rather near his office. rooms were clean and big enough. wanda mall is a 10-15min walk away, which is comfortable in spring time. nearer the hotel there are some other eateries along an alleyway. the coffeehouse/restaurant was undergoing some renovation i think, so they shifted the breakfast to a meeting room. breakfast was a tad disappointing though. was expecting better. there is a japanese restaurant beside the hotel but i did not get to try.
