Huanhai Gloria Inn Qingdao

A group of friends and I booked 7 rooms in the Gloria Inn while we were visiting Qingdao for the annual International Beer Festival. The hotel is in the heart of the new town and only a short cab ride from the beaches and German colonial architecture that Qingdao is famed for. Nice clean rooms, very helpful staff and a good breakfast spread meant that everyone in our party would definitely return to the Gloria Inn on our next jaunt to Qingdao.

Situated in the "new town" area as opposed to the old town near the famous pier. Nice hotel, clean with friendly english speaking staff. Good location nearby to the extensive seaside boardwalk, also near to the Crowne Plaza hotel. shopping centres and starbucks. Also includes extensive western and chinese breakfast. It is also on the road to the Lao Shan mountain area, I recommend you take a drive out there, it is like the mediterrean on a sunny day, but make sure you keep the taxi all day as they are few and far between out there
