Ibis Qingdao Chengyang

Dirty , bad smell , front desk service none existent, clean room, great bed and great pillows, shower cabin and thank God a western type toilet ! The price is high for a 3 star hotel. I don’t think I will ever stay there again . The area is nice but the hotel experience was to aggressive for me.

Other than the location and being clean nothing really good about the hotel. While you cannot expect too much from an Ibis, this particular hotel left me completely disappointed. I was in a room on the 12th floor. The lifts are slow. The key card worked only after multiple attempts on the three days I stayed. On occasion I had to take the slow lift to have the key 're-programmed'. The kettle did not work. The complementary breakfast was adequate. For some reason they do not have butter. They didn't have my laundry on time and I had to deal with a short tempered and rude staff member. The rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful. I'll stay here again only as a last resort. One big plus is that it is really close to the airport.

I noticed that there are lots of Korean staying in & around the hotel. No wonder the hotel room was clean & comfortable. Equip with basic necessity, value for money. Just that I hope that the hotel can provide more meal than just breakfast at their 2nd floor.
