GreenTree Inn Weihai Shichang Avenue Hotel

Having a great view overlooking the city was really a treat to wake up to. Looking out at night gave a feel of being above the city. As is the case in many Chinese hotels, it doesn't take up the whole building, but it was very comfortable and much cheaper than the look of room would indicate. We found the hotel by accident as we hadn't booked anything prior to arriving in Weihai. We spent about 3 nights of a 4 night stay in Weihai in the hotel. While I admit getting a taxi was a little difficult (as can be the case here) it was possible to get around. There were no issues with the rooms at all. Sometimes I would prefer to have had at least one English channel on tv at night, but it did have digital cable in the room. It was good value all things considered....

We booked this hotel without really checking where it was in Wiehai. This hotel is just too far from anything in Weihai. It is best for people with cars. We had a difficult time finding any decent eateries in the area and taxis were difficult to flag down. The hotel may be difficult to locate because it takes up only the back side of the building on Shichang Rd. OTOH the hotel is pretty cheap for what you get in terms of facilities. All the mod cons are there.

A budget priced buisness hotel in the center of town, however staff are rather forgetful about peoblems like the boiler not working and no hot water in the hotel. I also doubt the customer service as no one from Green Tree Inns contacted me about my queries. Nice rooms, and well equiped,
