Positive aspects are the location close to two subway stations and the low price. However, the rooms are noisy and dirty. The hotel makes an overall very run-down impression. The breakfast is terrible and should be avoided. It is possible to enter the hotel from the street and use an elevator to the guest floors without passing a guard or front desk. Travellers with a higher need for safety should definitely avoid this.

The location of the hotel is near a Subway station, Shanghai Football Stadium. The lobby service is not so good and the room look old now. I stay there several times and some room wall are not clean. Internet is free

The pictures on the Changhang website are from it's heyday many years ago. There is no furniture in the lobby. It's best feature is the coffee shop which has good coffee, tea, desserts and wifi. My room was cramped with box-springs only but no mattress. It was supposed to be non-smoking but smoke smell was strong. The carpet was old. The closet was very small. There were staff &/or guests loudly playing mahjong and smoking in a room near the elevator.
