When there was a guy at the front desk, he just said - no cups when there was a girl - she took out disposables. 12th floor room with comfortable bed and two pillows (one orthopaedic). The windows have still narrow windows on the edges, covered by doors, which we were asked to use as air conditioning, which (as explained to us by the cleaner and the worker she removed) only works on heat. Sockets and charges via USB are sufficient. There are no bathroom hooks. At the time of entry they gave out a tooth kit, in the bathroom there is soap, hanging -2 shower gels, shampoo and conditioner. Slippers were changed every day, three or four waters were brought, and three types of tea. Breakfast was very varied, mainly Chinese dishes, yutiao (roasted to a golden-brown crust strips of dough served for breakfast or lunch with sweetened soy milk), soy milk, porridge, noodles, some pastries, several types of brewed tea. Lychee fruit, pitahaya, oranges, watermelon. Nearby there is Family Mart, several cafes and coffee shops, and about 300 meters (across the street diagonally) the huge shopping complex Bailian Quyang, on the ground floor there is a lot of food. Free laundry on the 5th floor -washing and drying machines for laundry. Hair steamer. Board and iron. Nearby gym. Cons: 1. Very far from everything. The staff does not speak only Chinese, and if they try an interpreter they translate into English. Only on the first day at the reception was there an adequate girl who immediately translated into Russian using her phone. Smoked everywhere, even in the non-smoking room and the smoking ban. Strong smell of cigarettes everywhere. Windows are dirty, no view except on the upper floors. No air conditioning is installed for cold, after the staff were called we were simply advised to open the narrow windows on the sides of the main window.

Pretty disappointing for several reasons. The first is because, depending on the shift, there may be no one at reception who speaks English. Not understanding “Problem in bathroom” is quite serious in such a hotel. We found a strand of hair in the sink pile very visible. It's amazing that a supervisor doesn't give the go-ahead for room cleaning. The air conditioning was not working well. We got a room with an air conditioning machine outside that made a lot of noise at night. The right breakfast. The regular location.

The hotel is not in a bad location, but it is quite old and very neglected, the rooms are small and full of dust (I don't know if they are ever cleaned). And, at least in ours, the windows cannot be opened, so it is impossible to ventilate…. The breakfast on the terrace that I read in other comments was closed, you could only have breakfast in a breakfast room they have on the lobby floor, The breakfast is very average, with medium quality products and a little noisy, since each client is on their cell phone listening to different things and they play it at such a volume that we all hear about it... (unfortunately this is very common in China)🫣 The staff is simply correct. Of course if I return to Shanghai in this place I will not miss anything.
