Greentree Inn Jiangpu Hotel

Narrow lobby, very less space in the room, food item suggest that it is hotel not for outsider.

We live in China and get to travel the country often - the GreenTree Inn surprised us with their location, the room, the delicious restaurant next door called Lange, and for the price I would recommend it for the middle of the road/budget traveler. Easy to find on Wuding Road, right off Nanjing West - main street in Shanghai. Check-in was quick, the room was medium size with huge King bed. Plenty of room for two people. Lots of cable channels, view was better than average, and hotel is right in the middle of nice area of Shanghai with plenty of shops, plazas, restaurants within short stroll. Be ready for the bathroom shower to flood the floor (this is typical in China in even $$$ hotels). Maid service started early and woke us up each morning around 8am - irritating! Our room w/King bed, no breakfast, was 285yuan ($40). Tip: You must try the restaurant next door, Lange, for delicious Italian at a great price.

Because everything in China is cheap by American standards for taxi rides, it made commuting easy. And the price is really good. I was recommended to stay here by my school and although it wasn't a 5 star hotel, it gave me what I needed - a place to stay. Prices are really good. I recommend this to the traveler that wants just a place to stay and want to save some money.
