the hotel is ok， just like other normal business types. very near to Tongji University Zhangwu Campus，u can pay a visit on campus if you had time. Traffic is fine， 5 mins to metro， and taxi is available around here.

The hotel was OK. I give it 3 for the following issues: -- The smell of the smoke in the hallways. -- The bathroom was had these issues: the toilet was stained with paint, the basin counter was black that I initially thought it is dirty, the curtains for the shower were not enough to avoid getting the water allover the bathroom. -- If your room is facing sipping rd, then it is a bit noisy. -- The heater was so noisy -- we ended up turning it off. Good issues: The view was OK , nothing special though. Very close to Tongji university and the subway.

This is a average hotel with a reasonable location to the Tongji University subway station on line 10. This makes getting to the center city (Bund) very easy. But, it is a tricky place to stay if you are a westerner. Not many people spoke English, though the front desk had someone who could speak, room service, house keeping, etc. had ZERO English. I called Room Service twice, it was ridiculous. The people who answered could not speak English and transferred me to other people who could not speak English. If you cannot speak Chinese, stay elsewhere. The breakfast was nothing special at all and was essentially identical food each day for a week. It was not good at all in my opinion. The internet was slow and unreliable, but this is typical for China from my experience. They were also disorganized in general. If I needed anything, i had to go to the front desk and try to find someone who spoke English. Once located, that person would tell me they were doing something, then nothing would ever happen. I had to go back to them 2-3x then eventually they would do what they said. Even check in was a disaster and they could not find my reservation.... The room was OK, but definitely outdated. The TV was modern, but had only two channels with English language (Asia News Network and Bloomberg), the other 10 channels were 100% Chinese. I would say the only real reason to stay here is if you have business at Tongji, since it is directly across the street, though the entrance is a block or two away.
